November 26 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Want to make a unique piece of wire jewlery? Interested in the art of chainmail and working with wire? Join us for a brief introduction to chainmail making. We will cover 3 different weaves, including European 4-1 (traditional chainmail), and Persian 6-1 and Byzantine, which are both simple jewelry chains. Supplies and expertise provided. Questions? Email [email protected].
Pop-Ups are free, non-credit classes for students, faculty, and community members. Taught three times a week by JMU X-Labs staff, JMU students, and community experts, these make-and-take classes are an opportunity to try a new skill, practice using equipment, and have fun. Past topics have included laser cut jewelry, DIY planters, drone quidditch, laptop stickers, LED programming, beer brewing, liquid nitrogen ice cream, glass etching, and more!
