Pop-Up Workshop: Nature Rocks! featuring JMU Geology Club
April 16, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
We all have our faults, but not the Geology Club! Come learn about geology and make fun gear for the outdoors at this one time pop-up. You will be able to design your own hat and drawstring bag, as well as make a strap for your water bottle! Questions? Email j[email protected].
Pop-Ups are free, non-credit classes for students, faculty, and community members. Taught three times a week by JMU X-Labs staff, JMU students, and community experts, these make-and-take classes are an opportunity to try a new skill, practice using equipment, and have fun. Past topics have included laser cut jewelry, DIY planters, drone quidditch, laptop stickers, LED programming, beer brewing, liquid nitrogen ice cream, glass etching, and more!

JMU X-Labs abides by parking regulations set by JMU Parking Services. JMU faculty and staff with purple passes are permitted to park in L lot (out front of Lakeview Hall). JMU students with commuter passes are permitted to park in L lot only after 4pm. Otherwise, students with permits should park in the R2 lot across the street from Starbucks.
If you are a community member with no JMU parking pass, please email us at [email protected] with your name, license plate number and license plate state so we may secure a parking pass for your visit. If you register for an event that is less than 24 hours away, please plan to visit JMU Parking Services at the bottom of the Champion Parking Deck next to Bridgeforth Stadium to secure a temporary visitors pass before parking on JMU’s campus.
