If you register for an event that is less than 24 hours away, please plan to visit JMU Parking Services at the bottom of the Champion Parking Deck next to Bridgeforth Stadium to secure a temporary visitors pass before parking on JMU’s campus.

Campus Resources

The Makery

Located on the first floor of Rose and in the basement of Carrier*, these makerspaces offer tools, supplies, and guidance for the JMU community to learn, tinker, craft, invent and discover.

They provide workshops on how to use these resources on a scheduled basis, and will custom design workshops for academic needs.

They also provide equipment loans: you can borrow portable audio recorders and microphones, DSLR cameras and camcorders, tripods and lighting kits, video projectors, small PA systems, and more.

All of their services and supplies are available free-of-charge to all students, faculty and staff, for both academic and personal projects.

*With Carrier Library under renovation, this maker space will be unavailable.
